TVD BUILDING PROCESS
(TVD – Transformable Variable Design)


TVD building process is a simple and high quality building process that suits any architectural shape and building standard. From social housing to luxury habitations, the TVD building process provides the same quality of work especially with regard to finishing, thermal and sound insulation. In 1996 the TVD process has been patented by the German Patent Office, and all materials used in its production have received subsequent certificates of quality.

Primarily considered as the best low cost building system in regard to urgent social housing needs, the TVD building process has been further developed for any type of construction with even better results than the traditional way. TVD units are planned and built in full compliance with end-user’s wishes at minimal cost in the shortest delays.

The basic building elements are “Thermo” or “Sandwich” panels that consist of a prefabricated steel frame (made of two spaces interconnected reinforced meshes) gripping inside installation made of polystyrene foam blocks, dry set and completed “In-site” with concrete spraying; thus forming a pure monolithic structure with uniformed concrete walls and slabs.

The panels have three different thicknesses, each one corresponding to a specific use - i.e. 10, 15 and 20 cm for walls, slabs and base plates respectively. Panels are 0,60 to 1,20 m wide and 2,60 to 6,00 m long. The biggest building element does not weigh more than 25 kilograms and can easily be handled by a single person.

Industrial production of panels, standardized connections and adapted tools, together with a computerized control of the whole building process enables a quick and precise completion of any building, with little manual labor. This cannot be compared to prefabrication. It is refereed to as industrialized building.
